Facility / MEP Design

The New Haven Rail Yard (NHRY) West End Yard (WEY) is an electrified train storage yard with associated facilities. The project consists of seven electrified storage tracks (#44 and #48 through #53) with full utilities that can accommodate the storage of 80 cars. A storage and cart garage building will be constructed to provide support for the storage yard for use by MNR mechanical and car cleaning personnel. A Fabric Structure Building will be constructed to provide storage for M8 Parts. Various civil and utility improvements will support this project and future NHRY projects.

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. is providing Inspection Services for this project. Project tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Inspection of all construction activities, including the review of Daily Work Reports (DWRs).
- Engineering recommendations related to submittals, working drawings, and technical reviews of work contemplated by the construction contract.
- Investigating and facilitating resolutions to technical problems or design issues associated with the construction of the project.
- Project control and follow up with day-to-day interaction to ensure total compliance with all CTDOT requirements with emphasis on safety and coordination of work.
