Enhanced Station Initiative Package 2 Design / Build
The purpose of the MTA’s Enhanced Station Initiative was the complete overhaul of thirty-three subway stations in all five boroughs (est. $881 Million). Updates included cellular service, Wi-Fi, charging stations, improved signage, subway countdown clocks, service alerts, On-The-Go Informational Dashboards, and improved station lighting. Concrete repairs, new platform edges, waterproofing, wall tile patching, and structural steel repairs brought the stations into a “State of Good Repair.”

The renovations were done in eight "Packages," which allowed contractors to renovate three to five stations in a given area simultaneously. The second Package was along the BMT Astoria Line in Queens, namely the 30th Avenue, Broadway, 36th Avenue, and 39th Avenue Stations.

Garg provided Condition Inspection and State of Good Repair (SGR) Design for the Design / Build team.
