Garg performed on-call surveying services in all four zones of AMTRAK; whereby the services varied from site to site. The work included, but was not limited to:

- Horizontal and Vertical Control
- As-Built survey
- Digital drafting
- Field layout
- Utility location
- Hydraulic surveys for flood plains and stream boundaries
- Boundary work including research, easement routes, metes, and bounds
- Topography
- CADD and manual drafting
- Photographs as needed to characterize the sites
- Survey reports
- Wetland delineations and other miscellaneous survey tasks

As part of this on-call, Garg participated in the following projects:
- Proposed tie yard in Davisville, RI.
- Erosion remediation for embankment in East Haven, CT.
- Easement map in Westbrook, CT.
